Melinda Evans is an American Artist who designs and creates unique designer sets of necklaces and earrings. This is her second career. She has her M.A. degree in the teaching of Spanish, and recently retired after teaching for 35 years.

Her love of fine jewelry led her to collect gemstone beads whenever she and her husband would travel during their summer vacations. She uses the beads she collects in her original, one-of-a-kind creations. Melinda uses quality gemstone beads, Swarovski Crystal beads, Venetian glass beads, Hill Tribe and Bali silver beads and findings, along with gold-filled findings. She does all her own work in her Flagstaff, Arizona studio.

Melinda's fascination with beautiful beads provides her with a constant flow of creativity. One idea, or one magnificent find is often all it takes to inspire the creation of one of her unique pieces. Melinda is enthralled with the beautiful world of beads. She loves the fact that her elements of design come from many diverse cultures around the globe, each having something unique to offer. Design, color, and current styles are her forte. Melinda has exhibited her artwork at many craft shows, and is always well received. She produces not only pieces of elegance to be enjoyed by the wearer, but also pieces treasured by the collector.

Interesting jewelry includes shape, color, texture, finishes and ultimately how these elements are combined. Melinda is a true artist in her ability to search for the unusual and create in her artistic manner through the interesting placement of primary elements, fillers and spacers.
